About the Guide
I'm from Indiana and attended Purdue University's School of Science from 1989 to 1994.
I have always been a contemplative person and in my second year in College I started investigating my beliefs in the spiritual/religious sense. This eventually led me to a certain metaphysical book, where towards the end, the author mentioned he lived in a town in Arizona called Sedona. I decided I wanted to meet him, so In 1996, I ventured out to do so. I was planning on meeting him and then was going to travel to Yosemite, California to live.
However, encountering Sedona "rocked my world" with its
jaw dropping landscape and metaphysical association. I stayed in Sedona and I have been on an amazing adventure of self discovery, truth search, and exploration of this area ever since. I've experimented living in other areas, but always miss
Sedona when I do. I now see it as my permanent residence. I have 23 years accumulative here.
In 2005, I decided to become a tour guide and started working for Safari Jeep/Grand Canyon/Native American Journeys Tours. They are only a jeep tour company today, but they used to be all three.
In the course of the next 17 years, I had the fortunate opportunity to work with these companies as well:
Red Stone Geology Tours, Arizona Travels, Great West Tours, and Sedona Red Rock Adventures.
Both in my private life here and as a guide, I have toured and studied with many a great teacher in this area i.e. metaphysical teachers, medicine people, geologists, anthropologists, native historians, archeologists, rangers, astronomers, story tellers, and more. I have read many a fascinating book, and have had many amazing synchronistic experiences in too. I am very appreciative of what I have had the opportunity to learn and it is a great honor
and pleasure to share it.
I've done thousands of tours and these have been my main types: Vortex, jeep, local Sedona, Grand Canyon, Jerome, Antelope Canyon, Painted Desert, Lake Powell, and Petrified National Forest.
I have also done lectures on the subjects of my tours in many resorts and other public venues in the Sedona area and was featured in the Red Rock News for my geology presentations.
I officially started Adventure Explore and Soar Tours August 12, 2021. and it is a dream come true.
Additionally, I would say I am person who is passionate about life and tend to always have something to explore.
I'm big into physical activity and the outdoors and love to swim, run, climb, tumble, martial arts, dance, hike, bike, playing basketball, and more.
I'm into dietary practice and have over the yeas developed a system that works for me.
I'm a musician and play a few different instruments, sing, song write, and teach music theory.
I've studied improv acting and some script acting as well. I performed in a troupe in Sedona from 2006 to 2010, and periodically teach classes.
Another venture I'm involved with is another Company I helped start in May of 2019.
It's called Star Heart Creative Co op and Cultural Center.
I consider it an extension of some of the things talked about on the tours ie associations of the past with Sedona as a place for one to learn, heal, create, express, and develop. The goal of Star Heart is to help create an environment where this can happen. We've had open mic/stage events, cacao ceremonies, classes on metaphysics, dances, meditations, art classes and more. It also is a dream come true.
